Every Last Child Deserves a Future

We’re doing whatever it takes to educate every last child.

  • 250 million children in the world cannot read, write, or perform arithmetic.
  • The world needs almost 69 million new teachers.
  • Education is one of the most powerful ways to reduce poverty and improve health, gender equality, peace and stability.
  • If a mother has the ability to read, her children have a 50 percent greater chance of surviving past the age of five.
  • Thirty-nine percent of the worldwide poor have no formal education at all.
  • One of the first steps in overcoming poverty is receiving an education.

For too many children, help never comes.

Who are the world's forgotten children? Most often they are girls, children with disabilities, children from ethnic or religious minority groups, children fleeing conflict, and children living in poverty or on the streets.

Everybody can do something. And you don’t have to be rich to make a difference.

There are over 250 million people who need basic moral education, over a billion need lights; more than 10 percent of the world lacks clean drinking water, and one-quarter of the planet’s farmland is highly degraded. These are problems that far exceed the capacity of any one person to solve. That’s why we’ve started Catholic Online School with our mission to provide a Free world class Catholic education for anyone, anywhere.

Here are some ways to get involved.

Every child deserves a chance to grow up healthy, learning and safe. Yet millions of children are left behind —because of who they are or where they’re born. Tragically, many girls around the world are forced to leave school too soon, marry too young and grow up too fast. And refugee children are living in fear, far from home and without the education they deserve.

Together, let’s make sure the world puts these forgotten children first. We’re working with world leaders to end poverty and hunger with a free Catholic education. We’re on the ground helping create a fair chance of education for all children. And we’ll continue to do whatever it takes to educate every last child. Join us!

We are accepting tax-deductible contributions to Catholic Online School. 100% of all donations will be used to fund Catholic Online School, now with over 10,000 students and teachers enrolled. However, we still have over  250 million children in the world who cannot read, write, and perform arithmetic to educate.

2016 was a year of great progress for children. But we have so much more to do. Through Catholic Online School's global campaign, we will work to ensure the world’s children have what every child deserves – a future with education. We’ll tackle the key reasons children are left behind, and we’ll work to ensure 15 million children have access to a quality education. By 2030, we will strive to prevent the deaths of 600,000 children and give 50 million more children the opportunity to learn.

With your help we will provide a free world class Catholic education for anyone, anywhere...
